1. Introduction and scope
This Privacy Policy describes how Konnect Technologies, Inc. (“Konnect AI,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects information about you when you visit konnectai.com or interact with us as a prospective or current life-insurance customer. This site is directed to residents of the United States.
2. Information we collect
We collect the following categories of personal information, defined consistently with the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the CPRA:
- Identifiers — name, postal address, email, phone, IP address.
- Customer records — date of birth, government-issued identifiers (e.g., last 4 of SSN for verification), policy numbers.
- Commercial information — quote requests, products considered, transaction history.
- Internet or other electronic network activity — pages viewed, clicks, device and browser information, referring URL.
- Geolocation — approximate location derived from IP address; we do not collect precise GPS location.
- Professional or employment information — occupation, employer, income range (when relevant to underwriting).
- Sensitive personal information — health information for underwriting, full Social Security number when required to apply for coverage.
- Inferences — characteristics derived from the above to match you with carriers and products.
Sources include: (a) directly from you; (b) carriers and reinsurers; (c) consumer reporting agencies (e.g., MIB Group, MVR providers, Rx databases) when you authorize a coverage application; (d) public records.
3. How we use information
We use personal information to:
- Provide quotes and place coverage with a carrier of your choosing.
- Communicate with you by phone, email, and (where consented) SMS.
- Comply with legal obligations, including state insurance recordkeeping rules.
- Detect and prevent fraud and abuse.
- Improve our services, including model performance and intake quality.
4. GLBA notice (financial privacy)
FACTS: What does Konnect AI do with your nonpublic personal information?
Why? Financial companies choose how they share your information. Federal law gives you the right to limit some, but not all, sharing.
What? The types of personal information we collect include name, address, contact details, date of birth, Social Security number when applicable, health information for underwriting, and transaction information.
How? All financial companies need to share customers’ personal information to run their everyday business. Reasons we share include: providing quotes, processing applications, fulfilling our legal obligations, and reporting to credit and consumer reporting bureaus where authorized.
To limit our sharing: submit a request through our contact form with subject line “GLBA opt-out.”
5. How we share information
- With insurance carriers and reinsurers, to obtain quotes and place coverage.
- With our Independent Marketing Organization (IMO) / Field Marketing Organization (FMO) partner, where applicable.
- With service providers who process information on our behalf (hosting, communications, fraud prevention) under written contracts.
- With regulators, law enforcement, and as required to comply with legal process.
- In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to confidentiality.
We do not sell your personal information for monetary consideration. We do not share information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
6. Your state privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the rights below. To exercise any right, submit a request through our contact form. We may need to verify your identity before responding.

We respond to requests within the time required by your state’s law (typically 45 days, with the option of a 45-day extension under CCPA). California residents can use an authorized agent; we will require written authorization.
7. Do not sell or share my personal information
California residents have the right to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. Although we do not sell your information for monetary consideration and do not engage in cross-context behavioral advertising, you may submit a request at any time through our contact form with the subject line “Do Not Sell or Share.” We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as a request to opt out for your browser.
8. Sensitive personal information
We process sensitive PI (such as health information for underwriting and Social Security number when required to apply for coverage) only for purposes permitted by your state’s privacy law and our regulatory obligations as an insurance producer. We do not sell or share sensitive PI.
9. Cookies and tracking
We use first-party privacy-respecting analytics (Plausible) to count visits and understand traffic patterns. Plausible does not use cookies and does not collect personal information. We do not use cross-site behavioral advertising cookies. We honor Global Privacy Control signals as opt-out requests for California residents.
California Shine the Light: California residents may request a list of categories of personal information disclosed to third parties for their direct marketing purposes during the prior calendar year. We do not engage in such disclosures, and so the list is empty.
10. Children
This site is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (COPPA). If you believe we may have collected such information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. TCPA and SMS messaging
If you provide your phone number and check the TCPA consent box on our quote form, you provide express written consent to be contacted by Konnect AI and licensed insurance partners by autodialer and prerecorded or AI-generated voice messages, and by SMS, for marketing purposes. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Reply STOP to opt out at any time. Reply HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply.
12. Email and CAN-SPAM
Marketing emails include a one-click unsubscribe link and our physical mailing address. We honor opt-out requests within 10 business days as required by CAN-SPAM.
13. Data retention
We retain personal information as long as needed to provide services and as required by state insurance recordkeeping rules — typically at least six years from the end of the policy. Lead-only records (where no policy was placed) are retained for 24 months and then anonymized or deleted.
14. Data security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encryption in transit and at rest for sensitive PI, role-based access controls, and vendor security reviews. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
15. International users
This site is directed to United States residents. We do not knowingly target or solicit residents of jurisdictions outside the United States.
16. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. The “Effective” date at the top reflects the latest version. We will provide notice of material changes (e.g., a banner or email).
